About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

SUOC 279 - Designer's choice

Hello everyone, and welcome to the SUOC#279 challenge. This time the challenge was - Designer's choice, and so I thought I would share with you all my customer thankyou cards, these are what I send out each month for all of my lovely customers that place an on line order with myself the previous month.
I've used the really beautiful 'Expressions in Ink' bundle and dsp for this card, and I really loved how it came together.......
The colours I have used this time are the gorgeous new Pale Papaya... love this colour, Pear pizzazz and then the jewels are the Evening evergreen ones......

So let's give you a quick run through of how I made it......

My cardbase is cardstock that measures 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" scored on the longside at 4 1/8" and then folded and burnished. I then used a basic white layer that measures 4 " x 5 3/4" for the front and inside of card layers and attached the inside of card piece using wet glue.
The piece for the outside I then stamped two of the large flower images, using the same application of ink for both of them, and then attached this piece to the card front.
The dsp strip on the side of the card is 1" x 5 1/2" and this was glued flat onto the card front, leaving an even gap all the way round.
On a piece of scrap basic white cardstock I then stamped one image of the flower and three of the leaves then die cut them all out. These were all attached to the front of the card base, the flower was on a dimensional ,the leaves were glued underneath it.
I cut myself a piece of basic white cardstock 1" x approx 3" stamped the sentiment and then using my paper trimmer I angled the sides, put dimensionals onto the reverse side of it and attached it onto the flower. Added  jewels and voila the card is finished. Simple but very effective card, all thanks to this beautiful stampset.....

I hope you enjoyed my card, I have to say I am absolutely loving this new bundle, it's just divine.......

Please do hop over to the SUOC#279  and take a look at all of the amazing projects that all of the other design members have shared with you, and join in with us too we would love to see what you create!
