About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

SUOC#296 - Inspiration picture

Welcome to another SUOChallenge. This time it's something new, for me anyway, as it's an Inspiration picture which I've never done before. Now I have to be honest when I first saw the picture I was bit stuck, but, once looked and broke the picture down, I was quite pleased with my end result!

As you can see it's a lovely picture, has a feel of a quiet room about it to me, and that is where I went from for my sentiment. I saw that there were animal print cushions, 2 cute little rabbit ornaments and then there was the gorgeous picture on the wall which quickly became my starting point...............

I just had to use the 'New Horizons' papers as I thought they really lent themselves to the picture and everything else was built around it!................
The 'Animal Print' embossing folder was such a great use for the background layer, and I just love the 'Nature's Beauty' stampset which is where the cute rabbit came from, this was stamped using the basic gray ink pad and then blended out a touch using the water painters before being fussy cut out using snips.
The wooden gates were stamped, using the wooden panel image from the 'On the horizon' stampset, onto crumb cake card (using same colour ink) and then die cut out with the horizon dies.
The horizon paper was die cut out using the large ticket from 'Sports event' dies and this was glued to another one that had been die cut out using the basic white card, then attached to the card front with dimensionals.
The gates were glued across the ticket with the overhanging pieces being attached using dimensionals.
The hedgerow was die cut out using old olive card and then glued across the gates with the rabbit attached using dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped using the memento ink pad and then the words were fussy cut out using snips and attached to the card front. To finish the card off a few of the Pebble enamels were added.
I really did enjoy making this card and found that having an Inspiration picture as a starting point was actually quite fun, the more you look at the picture, the more you see!
Please do hop over to the SUOC#296and have a look at what all of the other design team members have made for your inspiration. I'd love if you took part in the challenge and showed us all what you made of the picture.

Until next time
