About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Craftalong Tuesday - You made my day

Hi everyone and welcome back to another Craftalong tuesday. Can you believe we are now into March, February just seems to have flown by!
This week I have a rather nice sillouette card for you using the absolutely gorgeous bundle called 'Grassy Grove' I love how quick it is to make a card with these dies, I'm also thinking that this is going to be a great bundle to use for christmas cards - I know too early to be talking about christmas but when you're a crafter you're always thinking ahead of time for things to use when making your cards 😉.

So let's see how quick it is to make this card..............

1. Cut yourself a piece of black card 14.8cm x 21cm scored in half at 10.5cm for the card base. Attach a piece of white cardstock 10.2cm x 14.5cm to the inside of the card.
2. Cut yourself 2 pieces of black card  10.2cm x 14.5cm and die cut the silouette out of the centre on both pieces, try and get them about the same place but it doesn't matter if they're a bit off.
3. Attach one of the black die cut pieces onto a piece of the New horizons paper 10.2cm x 14.5cm using glue and then attach this flat to the front of the card base.
4. Attach dimensionals all over the reverse side of the other black die cut piece and then attach this to the other piece on the front of the card.
5. Die cut 2 small and 1 large deers out using black card and then attach these to the card front using dimensionals on the large and the small one through the trees, and glue flat the one sitting behind the large one.
6. Die cut lots of the tiny flowers out using the leftover piece of the paper that was used and the die from the Detailed Dahlia Dies. Attach these to the card using glue and then attach a pearl into the centres of some and black matte dots into the others.
7. Tie yourself a double bow with the linen thread and attach to the card front using a glue dot.
8. To finish the card off stamp the sentiment, I used the one from the Dahlia Days, using white card and tuxedo black memento ink, fussy cut it out using your snips and attach to the card front using dimensionals cut up small.

I really enjoyed making this card, it was a quick card to make and it was very pleasing to look at when finished. I hope you liked it too and you'll come back next week to join me for another Craftalong tuesday. Until then take care.

Huge crafty Hugs
Natalie xx
