About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Creative Colour challenge #1

Today I've joined in with a colour challenge that has been set by a crafting friend Victoria Littlewood. It's a new blog she has started where there is going to be a new colour challenge once a week, so you might want to pop over and join in yourself!

These were the colours for this weeks challenge, and I must admit I struggled a bit with this one, but I got there in the end.........

I used a soft suede card base and a pacific point layer on the front of it. I then took my next layer, which is basic white cardstock, and flicked the brush end of my dark soft suede blend on the inside of the lid so that it flicks the ink out, being careful not to cover everything in the ink :), this was a technique that I learnt from Emma Goddard who is another Stampin' Up! demonstrator and she is very talented so go and give her a look up  she goes under the Coastal crafter.
I then punched my shape for the front of the card out, using the tailored tag punch, this then had 3 dimensionals on the back and was attached to the white layer.
The sentiment was stamped from the 'Nature's Harvest' bundle, using versamark ink, white embossing powder placed on top and then heat set. I've then die cut this out using the banner die within the bundle I used and this was given a slight curl and glued to the tag.
All of the images were stamped onto basic white carstock using Memento black ink 132708 (forgot to add it to products:)). Only the flowers were coloured in with the blends and then fussy cut out using my snips, you could die cut them using the dies but I didn't want a white border around them for this card. The branches and foilage were die cut out using soft suede cardstock and basic white, which I then coloured in using watered down Pacific point ink and just brushing very quickly over it just the once!. These were all then attached to the layer using glue and dimensionals. A bow was then attached using a glue dot, 3 metallic dots were added and the whole layer was then attached to the front of the card flat using glue.

I quite liked the way this turned out using this colour combination. Hope you enjoyed my card too can't wait to see what the next colour combination will be.
Until next time
Huge Crafty Hugs
Natalie xx
