About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Hand Penned suite - Blog Hop Touches of Ink

Hello again all! Wow it's time again for the Touches of Ink blog hop and I was delighted when Simone told us it was going to be using the 'Hand Penned' suite. This is such a beautiful suite to use, the stamps are amazing two step images and the papers are just so so pretty. Yayyyyy I am so excited to share my makes with you all.
Now I'm hoping you just jumped on to my blog after looking at the gorgeous makes from the lovely      Angela    if not then perhaps you could jump on over to her blog after by using the link below......

Now I did say that I was excited, infact I was so excited when making my cards they just kept coming......... 5 in fact and I loved making every single one of them!

This was my first make, I've included the delightful Layering diorama dies in with most of my cards, as I think they look great with this suite! The blending brushes were used to blend the different colours onto the die cut flower image, which was just cut out of basic white cardstock and the attached onto the white diorama layer which was layered onto a larger one that had been cut out of dsp, havibg white card attached to the reverse side of it, this gives the whole piece a bit more stability for the card front. The Thanks is inked up in memnto black ink and then fussy cut using the snips and then attached to the card front.

My second card was using the stencil and the blending brushes to ink the different colours through it. Then a diorama shape was die cut from the basic white cardstock, the highland heather layer was fussy cut out using my snips, having drawn around the outside of the die cut that has just been used, this just gives a smaller border around the edges than the next size die would have done. The flower was stamped using all of the diffeent colours and the two step stamps to in fill and then die cut out and attached to the diorama shapes, which are then attached to the front of the card using dimensionals.

My third card was a very easy to make card, I stamped and die cut the other flower image from the stampset and after die cutting it I fussy cut around and seperated the flower sections as I wanted them to be. The wordings were stamped from the 'Biggest wish' stampset and then fussy cut out. The Birthday was attached using dimensionals and the Happy was attached with glue. The flowers sections were then attached with glue, tucking them all under the wordings, having given them a slight curl with the bone folder this whole layer of basic white cardstock was then attached flat to the front of the cardbase.

My fourth card was the only one that I did using a square basic white thick cardstock base. I then inked a small section centre of card, using the blending brushes again.
The layer with the diorama apperture was made up from basic white and dsp both smaller than the layer before it, being glued together and then once dry run through the die cutting machine. This was attached to the front of the card using dimensionals, then I stamped all of the images and die cut out. The images on the right side were fussy cut into different sections and attached to the card using glue and dimensionals. The othe flower on the left was attached after I'd stamped the flower image and the sentiment where I wanted them to be. A bow made from the linen thread was then attached using a glue dot.

And then finally for my fifth card I used the diorama shape from the previous card, having stamped just the leaf part of the stamped image where i needed it to be I then attached the diorama dsp shape onto the card front. A smaller white diorama shape was then glued flat to the fornt of this, the flower was stamped and die cut then attached to the front after giving it a slight curl again using the bone folder. The wordings were stamped and fussy cut out, the Hello was attached using dimensionals and the Friend was just attached using glue. The bow again was attached using a glue dot.

Hope you enjoyed the cards I made for you as much as I loved making them, it was such fun and very enjoyable to do too.
