About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Kylie's International Project Highlights - Color & Contour bundle

Hi all and welcome to another International Blog Highlights. I didn't get to join in on last months blog post, but I have to say there were some amazing projects that were entered all of them were winners to me so well done all that entered.
This month I'm using a new bundle from the annual catalogue which is an amazing bundle comprising of a delightful stampset and dies that are really versatile to use. Hope you like my project and find time to pop over and give me your vote I'd really appreciate it.

 So let's get started........

Materials needed:

Fresh Freesia cardstock
1 piece - 5 7/8" x 6 1/8" scored on longside at 4 1/8" and then die cut down short side to form outer card base

Basic White cardstock
1 piece 5 3/4" x 8" scored on longside at 4" - inner card base
2 pieces 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside of card layers/ front and back
1 piece approx 1 5/8" x 2 9/16" for the flower image

Soft Succulents cardstock
1 piece approx 2" x 3 3/8" for the flower image frame layer

Soft Succulents ribbon
Length long enough to tie around the side of card approx 28"

2021-2023 In Color Jewels
3 for front of card

Card Instructions

1. Fold and burnish the two card base, die cut the front short edge of the fresh freesia one using the scallop edge die within the bundle.
2. Glue the white card base into the fresh freesia one only glueing the back section.

3. Glue both of the inside of card layers in to place, this will help to strengthen the card front and by having a layer on both sides balances the whole card out nicely, for better appearance.

4. Tie the ribbon around the card front tying it off in a knot around the front (I've covered the inside of my card front covering up the ribbon, but this isn't entirely necessary).
5. Close the card and stamp the sentiment onto the front white card using Evening Evergreen ink.
6. Die cut the frame piece from the Soft Succulents cardstock piece.
7. Stamp the flower image using Evening Evergreen and then stamp the infill flowers using Fresh Freesia ink. This piece can now slot under the slits that are formed when you die cut the frame out applying a small amount of glue to keep it in place.
8. Dimensionals are used to adhere this section to the front of the card. Jewels are now added and the card is finished.

Hope you enjoyed todays project, which I think is a pretty quick and simple card but a very effective finish. Please do hop over and maybe give me your vote, but look at all of the other projects that all of the very talented crafters have made for you to see, and grab yourself lots of inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by take care till next time
