About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Colour challenge

It's with great pleasure today that I've made this card for SUOC 251: colour challenge.
I received this cute little stampset called Zany Zebras yesterday, and instantly thought that it would be great to use for the colour challenge.
The colours for this particular challenge are :  Soft suede, Petal pink and Coastal cabana.
It's a very simple card to achieve and I hope you'll give it a go, I'm in love with these cute little Zebras I think they're going to be very useful for all sorts of cards and ages.

Whisper white thick card

 1pc  10.5cm x 29.6cm score on long side @ 14.8cm - card base
1pc  10.1cm x 14.4cm - layering piece
1pc  7cm x 9.5cm - small layering piece
Scrap piece to stamp 3 x zebras on to and fussy cut out

Coastal cabana card

1pc  10.3cm x 14.6cm - layering piece

Petal pink card

1pc  7.5cm x 10cm - small layering piece

Soft suede card

1pc  7.5cm x 10cm - small layering piece

1.  Score and burnish your card base piece
2. Glue your coastal cabana piece to the front of card base
3. Glue your soft suede and petal pink pieces to the front of your card making sure that the soft suede piece is straight and then your petal pink piece is at an angle (both glued flat)
4. Using your marker pens in the matching colours to your ink pads being used, with the brush end brush each colour individually across the sentiment stamp, until it's all covered with 3 x colours (start with your lightest colour first), stamp on to your card piece.
5. Stamp your scribble stamps in 3 x colours under where your zebras are going to sit (in the same colours). Now glue this piece to the front of the card lining it up with the soft suede piece.
6. Stamp all of your zebras and fussy cut out, glue on to your card, the zebra in the middle I've placed 2 x dimensionals under, to give this one a little more lift.
7. Place a few jewels where you'd like them.

Hope you enjoyed this little project thanks for popping by take care till next time

Big crafty hugs
Natalie x
