About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

SUOC-286 Halloween

Hello again and welcome to another SUOC challenge, where for this week the theme is Halloween. Now I'm not someone that really celebrates Halloween but, having said that I do love a challenge and as I have this amazingly versatile bundle, I had a sit and a play, and actually had rather fun creating this card!

The bundle that I've used is called 'Sparkle of the season' which is as it suggests, a bundle that celebrates a few things, like Halloween, Thanks giving or maybe Harvest festival for all of us in the UK and let's not forget Christmas with the delightful snowflakes and stars, there are so many possibilities for using this bundle, but this time I've made Halloween!

I've used a 5" top folded square thick basic white card base with the basic white for the inside and front of the card. Using my dark pumpkin pie and granny apple stampin' blends I've flicked colour all over the front layer. I then stamped lots of the little star images onto the layer, using different generations of gorgeous grape ink and a couple of the circle wreath images using pumpkin pie ink (147086), this layer was then glued flat onto the front of the card base.

Having die cut lots of the small elements and the leaf wreath, one in gorgeous grape and the other in granny apple, I've then attached them to the card front using glue and mini dimensionals, whilst also catching a length of the linen thread in between everything.

The last thing that remains to be done is to add some of the matte black dots and that's the card finished. It was a very quick and simple card to put together but I had so much fun playing with al of the cute little elements within this set.

Hope you enjoyed todays project and find some time to hop over and see what all of the other members of the design team have created for you on SUOC#286 I'm sure there will be something frightfully spooky for you to see!

Until next time

Huge Crafty Hugs
