About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Craftalong Tuesday - Whimsical trees

Hi everyone andwelcome back to another Craftalong tuesday. Today I have a rather cute christmas card for you all to see using the beautiful Whimsical trees bundle along with a piece of the exquisite papers that go with this bundle. I've only just opened this bundle and I think it is going to become one of my favourites straight away it's sooooo pretty..... so let's begin.

The card base is made from the Basic white thick cardstock, this time I have cut it at 10.5cm along the short side of an A4 sheet of cardstock and then scored along the long side at 14.85cm, this shape gives a side opening card.
The inside and front of card layers are both cut 0.5cm smaller than the card out of the Basic white cardstock, the inside piece can be glued into place. The one for the front I have used my dark Crumb Cake stampin' blend to flick some of the ink by flicking the brush end out of the lid, this can then be glued flat to the card front.

I just love the effect you get from this technique!

Two of the largest scalloped circles have been cut out, one in the dsp and the other in basic white, these are glued together (giving the dsp a bit of strength). A smaller circle is then die cut out of Crumb Cake card stock and then embossed with a folder (I used Wintry 3D 155433) and then glued flat to the scalloped circle. Both of these are then attached to the card front using dimensionals.
The banner is made using a 1" x 51/4" piece of basic white card and then punching one end using the Banners Pick a Punch. The sentiment was stamped using Crumb Cake ink and then this had dimensionals placed either end of it and attached to the front of the card.
All that remained to do then was to cut some of the cute trees out using the dies from the bundle and attaching them to the car front some are glued flat and some are attached with a dimensional. Brushed metallic dots were attached to the card and it's finished.

Hope you enjoyed todays card and have fun crafting along with me.
Until next week
Huge Crafty Hugs
