Hello again everyone, today I'm joining in with the #GDP273 challenge which is a colour challenge. I love doing all different challenges, not only does it keep my mind active, but it also surprises me with what I can create using all the amazing products Stampin' Up! is always bringing out!
I'm using for my card today new products from both the new Mini catalogue January - June, and the saleabration catalogue too!
I hear you saying what's Saleabration Natalie what are you talking about. Well through from january - february there are lots of lovely items that you can earn for free.... yes free when you spend £45+ on your order or you can go up another level and get different products when you spend £90+ on your order. All of the items are in the saleabration catalogue for you to see.............
The items I've used are 'In Bloom' bundle, this is a lovely set that has dies which have pierced markings within them and the dsp is from the saleabration and it's called 'Paper Blossoms' and not only is it really pretty but it's FREE with £45+ order!
Let's get on with the card I've created today, hope you like it.......
I've used a white card base for my card, and then I've cut myself three different size layers of cardstock from the 3 colours that are in the challenge. The soft sea foam layer I've inked all over with the same colour ink, using the tiny flower centre stamps within the stampset and then I've glued all 3 layers together flat. Now I've cut myself a piece of white cardstock slightly larger than the petal pink (bottom) layer but smaller than the card base itself. I've then glued the whole thing flat to the front of the card base.
I've cut a white piece of cardstock smaller than the card base for the inside of card, stamped the same images onto it and glued it flat inside.
I always think that it's nice to finish the inside of a card as well as the front.
Now I've taken a sheet of the dsp that has lots of circles painted all over it and using the punches I've punched out a large and a small one of each corresponding colours. I've then punched out white cardstock circles to glue flat on the back of each dsp circle, so that when they are all glued together the way I wanted them to be and then have dimensionals placed on the back to attach to the front of the card base, they will have more stability to them.
Now I die cut all of the tiny flowers out, place them onto my piercing mat and using the ball tool attachment for the take a pick too. I give them all a bit of dept. I've also die cut 2 bows and 2 of the tags out, cutting the night of navy blue tag in half to attach to the reverse side of the white one.
I've glued all of these elements flat to the card front and then I've stamped the sentiment on to white card using night of navy ink and angled both the sides with my trimmer, glued it flat onto petal pink card and cut around the edges to leave a small pink border showing from the front. I've glued this into place attached some rhinestones to the centres of some of the flowers and....... voila card finished.
I loved making this today and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Take care till next time and stay safe everyone.
Huge Crafty Hugs
Natalie xx
