About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Split card technique

Well what a change in the weather it's been very wet and miserable with a few sunny intervals today, completely different to yesterday.  So I thought let's have a play with the beautiful Blossoms in bloom bundle. I'm in love with this set it's  so easy to achieve amazing cards and you don't need alot of things to do this either which is a win win for me!

The colours I chose to use today are:
Top cards: Melon mambo
                    Blushing bride
Bottom cards: Granny apple green
                          Bermuda bay

All you need to do is make 2 x card bases
 3 1/2" x 10" scored at 5" (Whisper whit thick card)
Then I've placed enough of the Adhesive sheets on the reverse side of the coloured cards (needs to be big enough for the die size to fit onto) by removing the backing of the adhesive sheet and sticking to your card. Run them through your die cutting machine (die needs to be in the non adhesive side) and now carefully peel back the second sheet of backing on your adhesive revealing the glue. You only need to remove the top flower layer (bit by bit as you stick) for now once you have this stuck to the bottom flower layer you can remove the backing from the bottom flower and stick it to both of your cards at the same time, having both of the folded edges together as in the picture.

Now you can carefully with scissors cut straight through the middle of your flower making sure you don't cut the folded edge.
Now on a small piece of white card stamp your sentiment and glue flat on to your card. Add some pearl jewels and now you have 2 cards from one layered blossom, and it's very quick to make, which I love.
Thanks for popping by to take a look
Have a great rest of the day
