About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Color & Contour/Tailor Made Tag Card

Today I have something a little bit different for you. I've recently taken part in a UK/Europe Pre-order Card swap with some of my fellow demonstrators and this is the card I designed to send out to 14 of them. This was organised by a lovely demonstrator called Barbara Maynard, who very kindly distributed all of the cards amongst us all, thankyou so much for doing this Barbara.  I will in the next few days share with you all the beautiful cards that I receive from all of the other lovely ladies that took part.
For my design I wanted to show off all of the new In colours, but not all on the same card, so I designed the same card using all of the different colours each on their own!
I used the really gorgeous bundle called 'Color & Contour' which was available on the pre-order from the new catalogue and I have to say it very quickly became one of my favourite bundles, the effect you get using the stamps is as though you have done watercolouring, which incidentally I'm no good at, but infact it's just stamping, amazing stampset to use!!!
So here is a quick run down on how I designed the cards.........

Card Instructions

1. Fold and burnish the thick white cardbase.

2. Stamp the images on the front of the cardbase using second generation ink.

3. Die cut the white tag and the inside of card element, leave the dies on the cut out pieces and using a blending brush apply ink onto the two pieces, lift dies off when finished and give the die a clean.

4. For the inside of the card element for each card, stamp the flower image as shown onto the bottom right corner, the outline image is first generation ink and the inner is second generation.

5. Glue the inside coloured layer to the card and then glue the stamped and inked element on top flat.

6. Stamp two more of the flower images onto scrap white card just as you did for the inside of card flower, die cut them out.

7. Die cut the vellum tag and then using a tiny amount of glue adhere together with the white tag, tie the white baker's twine through the tags and finish with a bow. Using dimensionals attach the tags to the front of the card.

8. Stamp the sentiment onto scrap white card and then cut the words out so they are seperate from each other.

9. Glue one of the die cut flowers onto the tags and attach the other one using a dimensional. Glue all of the words flat onto the tags, and then attach one o the jewels.

I really enjoyed making these cards for my fellow demonstrators it was such fun creating them, I hope the ladies liked what I made for them and had as much fun designing their cards for all of us?

Thanks for popping on to my blog and having a look I really appreciate it take care see you all again very soon with all of the other lovely cards to share from the other ladies.
