About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Delicate Dahlias - CCC#3

Hello everyone and welcome to another Creative Colour Challenge where this week the colours are as shown below - Blackberry Bliss, Cherry Cobbler and Flirty Flamingo. When I saw these colours I instantly thought of the beautiful Delicate Dahlias stampset, which is a saleabration item that you can get free with a qualifying order, but only until 30th September 2021, so hurry if you'd like it, before it's no longer available!

Please do click on the photo above to be taken to the blogpost to see all of the delightful entries and also to join in on the challenge yourself!.

Now my card was a very clean and simple card to create which makes it a great card if batch making lots for any occasion, so let's have a quick run through how I made it.

I took a Blackberry Bliss base card and folded it in half, I then attached a Basic White layer to the inside and the front of the card, using glue, these measured 1/2cm smaller than the card base.
I then stamped two of the outline images onto Basic White cardstock using first generation Cherry Cobbler ink, then I stamped the in fill image using first generation in one and second generation in the other. The third Dahlia was done the same way only using Flirty Flamingo ink and the in fill was inked in second generation. All of the Dahlias after being fussy cut out using my paper snips, were given a bit of a curve using my bone foler, the first one was attached to the card front using glue the other two were attached using dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink onto Basic White cardstock,  and then cut out with my paper snips, curved slightly with my bone folder and then attached to a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, using glue, and attached to the front of the Dahlia using dimensionals.
To finish my card off I attached three of the Cherry Cobbler holiday rhinestones using the pokey tool end of my Take your pick tool.

I loved the clean and simple look of the card when I'd finished, plus it was so quick to do, I think it would look really good in all sorts of different colours just like you get in nature with Dahlias.

I'd love if you found time to take part in the colour challenge and share what you create with the colours over on the - #CCC3

Until next time
Huge Crafty Hugs
