Best dressed dsp meets Stitched labels

Good morning to you all,

 It's tuesday again and here is my tuesday make for you all, hope you like it. I'm using a stampset and dies that are about to retire at the beginning of June, so I thought I'd better make use of them while I can. I just love this set and I'm sad to see it go, but it's making room for some new stunning products, so well worth it. The good news is that the dies which are called Stitched labels are actually reduced by 25% while stocks last, so it's well worth having a look if you fancy getting them, as they will sell out fast.

The card that I'm making is being CASE'd on a card fold that a very good friend  Anne made and her blog is  ashinkyspot.blogspot.com she has made some wonderful cards and it would be great if you went and gave her a look.

Materials needed:


Petal pink card

1pc  12.5cm 29cm score @ 12.5cm base card


Best dressed 6" x6" dsp

1pc  12cm x 12cm


Whisper white card

1pc 12cm x 12cm ( for inside of card )
1pc 12.5cm x 1.8cm ( side of card front )
Scrap piece for the sentiment die cut and the circle die cut shape


Lovely lipstick card

1pc 12.5cm x 2.5cm ( side of card front stitched die used both long sides )
1pc 8.5cm x 9.5cm for the die cut shape on card front
Scrap piece for 1 medium daisy punch out


Old olive card

1pc 12.5cm x 3cm ( side of card front )
Scrap piece for 2 x leaf punch outs


Daffodil delight card

Scrap piece for 2 x medium daisy punch outs

Daisy lane stampset for daffodil delight daisies
Stampin' dimensionals
Multi purpose liquid glue
Lovely lipstick stamp pad ( retiring soon )

Stampin' dimensionals

Instructions:

On the petal pink base card fold and burnish on your score line.
Now on your side that measures 12.5cm x 12.5cm you need to measure and draw (leave these pencil marks on until you've marked your paper ), on all 4 sides 2cm in as shown in picture above. In the picture it shows you where you need to cut and where you need to score.
On the score line that you've done from corner to corner you can fold and burnish, then you need to fold back flat for the next step.
Lay your piece of dsp onto the front of your card (not glued as in the picture ), making sure you have an even border all the way round, mark on your dsp where your pencil marks are on your card, remove the dsp and now you can cut your square apperture out , I used my Stampin' Up! trimmer to do this (remember you only cut 2 sides ) and then glue into place on the front of your card. The square that you cut out of the middle of your dsp you need to cut in half corner to corner making sure you cut it the right corner to corner or your pattern will be wrong if you use directional dsp, the dsp I've used for this card I don't think it would matter.
Now you need to cut  0.5cm off each right angle side of your triangle that is going to be used so that you get a smaller triangle to glue onto your triangle on front of your card, that is now folded back on itself, dsp on top and then 3 x stampin dimensionals on the back to secure it down.
You can now assemble all of your pieces that you've cut out and stamped onto the side of your card.

Stamp your sentiment on your whisper white card and glue into the inside of your card.
When I stamped the Best wishes it was a bit too big for the die shape that I wanted to use, so I used my stampin' write marker pen to ink 1 word at a time, which enabled it to fit.
I glued the daisies onto the whisper white circle die cut shape, having stamped the daffodil delight ones with the daisy stampset, then tucked the leaves underneath, and placed my Designer element in place. I then put dimensionals on the back and stuck it to my lovely lipstick die cut piece. When sticking this to the front of your card, make sure you only place dimensionals in one corner as you don't want to stick the card shut through the apperture. Put glue onto the front of your sentiment piece and stick to the underside of the whisper white circle.

Last a lifetime

Hello again everyone,

I do hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. Hope you're finding lots to do and managing to fit in a bit of crafting. I'm so glad I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in these very hard times. As a demonstrator you're able to see and order from the new catalogue, which launches to the public 3rd June, not long to wait, but I've had the privilege of already seeing it, and oh my there are some amazing new products coming out. Anyway back to the card I've made today.

I've used the beautiful Last a lifetime bundle from the mini catalogue, and this is actually carrying over to the new catalogue which is great to hear.

Using a sponge brayer I've colour blended the inks together, giving it a really lovely subtle look on the front of your card.

Then I've used the colour stampin' markers to ink the areas on the stamps (in the colours that match the inks I've already used ) for the sentiment flowers, this is a lovely technique to use as you can get some lovely colour combinations within the one stamp.

The sentiment I've heat embossed and then mounted it on to some silver glimmer paper.

I've used the dies in the bundle to cut out the flowers and the outside pieces of my coloured card, letting you see the white card from behind.

Using a lovely punch called Label me fancy punch, I cut out sections on the side of the card to thread the ribbon through, and it fitted perfectly between my pieces that were already die cut.

For the inside of my card I've done everything round the opposite way, so that this time the colour shows through from the back. I've then stamped with the colour inks the small hearts and placed them wherever you want them to be, and I've used part of the wording stamp to ink  using the marker pens the words I wanted in

 my card.

Botanical prints medley

Hello again everyone,

Hope all is well with you all and you're busy crafting away in this time we all have at the moment. 

I'm taking part in my very first Team Scrimpy blog hop today, hoping I do it right. Basically, after having a look at what I've made, you can then hop on the links below to all the other lovely ladies blogs and see what they've made, using the theme that we're going on, which this time is  "Support and Encouragment", which at this present time is something which I feel we all need to be showing towards others.

Anyway I think it's time now for me to stop with the chat and just get on with showing you what I've made, so here goes  - hope you enjoy!

Crushed curry card 

1pc - 10.2 x 15.6cm ( for the front of card )

Scrap piece for behind sentiment (rectangle stitched die cut in half and glued to the back of the white sentiment piece after you stamp and heat emboss)

Pretty peacock card

1pc- 9.5cm x 13cm ( for inside of card )

Crushed curry crinkled seam binding ribbon

Heat tool 

To create your card base you need to fold in half and then you need to place tear & tape up to the next score line, this is the back of the card, and when finished you will take backing off  tape and stick it to the inner front of your card, this makes your card more sturdy when standing up.

Glue your crushed curry piece to the front of your card leaving a small border, as in picture. Now you need to glue your laser cut piece of pretty peacock card ( this comes within the product medley kit) to the back of your white piece with the rectangle cut out of it, then as in picture place foam strips all around the edge and three small pieces in the middle to make it more sturdy. Stick this to the front over the crushed curry piece.

Now you can place your embellishment pieces on to the front covering your tape up. ( I like to cut away some of the white border on the die cut pieces that also come within the medley kit but the choice is yours, I'm just fussy lol )

Stamp your sentiment with versamark ink (having first rubbed your card with your embossing buddy to prevent static), cover with the embossing powder, tapping off the excess, and heat set it.

Glue your crushed curry pieces to the back of your sentiment, then glue to the front of your card. Tie a bow and use a glue dot to stick to the card.
For the inside of the card you need to mat and layer the pretty peacock piece of card and the inner rectangle (that came from cutting your front rectangle), and then glue inside the card.

Ornate gardens quilting technique

Well hello again everyone, another week is upon us all already, I don't know where the time has gone, but since we've all been in this lockdown, the time seems to just fly away with me, I don't seem to get as much done, I don't know why this is, maybe it's just me!

Anyway today I thought I'd share with you all a really lovely project that I've done after seeing what a lovely american demo called Julie Davison had made, she is available to watch on Youtube, so go and give her a look , as she has some amazing projects to share with us all.  So after being so inspired by her lovely project that I found I thought I'd case it changing the measurements and adding a few of my own little twists.

The technique is called quilting (with paper in this case).

Measurements

Old Olive card

1pc  -  21cm x 14.8cm scored @ 10.5cm on the longside (Base card)

1pc - 6.4cm x 6.4cm (embossed with dsp in place first)

1pc - 2.5cm x 10.5cm (embossed sentiment piece)

1pc - 10cm x 14.3cm (embossed inside card)

Gold glimmer paper

1pc - 9.8cm x 9.8cm

Whisper white card

1pc -9.3cm x 9.3cm

1pc - 2cm x 10.5cm ( sentiment strip)

Ornate floral 3D embossing folder

Medium daisy punch

Perennial essence floral centers

Multipurpose liquid glue

Stampin' Dimensionals

Mini glue dots ( for ribbon )

To create your card base fold on the score line, glue your inner piece of embossed card inside your card and glue in to place your 2 x ovals.

Having glued your 2 x square pieces of dsp in to place on your small old olive piece, leave to dry then emboss.

Now with your terracotta square piece place the 4 x triangle pieces (which have been cut from 2pc of dsp) as shown in the pictures.

Now place the embossed square piece in to the centre of the terracotta piece, giving you the lovely quilted square.

Glue this square on to your whisper white square, and then using dimensionals with glue on them adhere to the gold glimmer paper.

Across this square place your very thin strip of whisper white card, then having cut your doily as the picture  shows glue these either side of the strip.

Now you can glue this square to the front of your card.

Emboss your 3 x daisies and then glue together, place your choice of embellishment in to the centre of flower and place on to the front of your card.

Stamp your sentiment on to the whisper white piece, glue flat to the old olive embossed piece and now glue to the front of your card.

Tie your bow using both pieces of ribbon together, giving you a double colour bow, glue to the front of your card using a glue dot.

Rubberband technique

Good evening everyone.

Thought I'd come on quickly and share with you all what I made today using a very fun technique. It's called the rubberband technique, and yes all you need are some rubberbands a stamp block and some ink.

You wrap the bands round the stamp block in all different directions, ink them up and then you can make some really lovely patterns on your card, all over or just partial pieces of your card, the choice is yours, and oh my goodness there are lots of choices it's all up to you.

The great thing is you'll never get the same pattern every time so it's almost a surprise each time you do it.

Go on you know you want to give it a go it's such fun.

Garden lane dsp meets Detailed bands dies and Band together stampset

Good evening everyone. I hope you're all keeping well and staying safe, and I also hope you had as lovely Easter as was possible.
These 2 cards I've made today are a lovely simple fold card, which I really enjoyed making, and I hope you'll enjoy trying out yourselves.

Measurements

Whisper white/ Soft sea foam cardstock
1pc -  4 1/8" x 11"  scored both ends @ 2 1/4" and 3 5/8"
Extra piece for die cutting

Mossy meadow/Garden green cardstock

1pc - 3 5/8" x 4"
2pc - 2 1/8" x 4"
2pc - 1 1/4" x 4"
Extra pieces for die cutting

Garden lane dsp

1pc - 3 1/2" x 3 7/8"
2pc - 2" x 3 7/8"

To create your card base fold on the score lines folding first score line forward and second score line backwards doing the same on both ends.
Now you can glue the dsp onto the cardstock which is slightly larger, you'll have two pieces that don't have dsp on them, these will be stuck onto the sides of the card once you have everything else in place.
Glue your matted pieces onto the front and set back sides.
Using the detailed bands dies cut out the three shapes that are required, the smaller green piece will be embossed with an embossing folder ( I've used the new Ornate floral 3d embossing folder), the whisper white oval will need your sentiment stamped onto it with the ink that coordinates with the green card that you've used.
The large die cut can be glued to the front of your card wrapping the small band pieces round the sides, then covering with the remaining green pieces youhad leftover. The embossed die cut piece goes on top using dimensionals, then using ds tape glue your ribbon, trim whatever you like on to this piece before you place your sentiment on top using dimensionals again.

Finally add a few rhinestones on your card to finish it off.

Ornate gardens accetate card

This is a card I've made today which I cased from a lovely Stampin' Up! demonstrator called Tricia Smith. 

It's similar to my previous card I made, but it's using accetate for the front of the card, which I really love, as it gives the card a whole different look.

For this card I've used old olive, crushed curry, ornate gardens and the medium daisy punch from Stampin' Up!
