About Me

My photo
My name is Natalie and I love anything to do with card/paper. I have been a papercrafter for many years now and I never get bored playing with all the wonderful products available. I've been married to my wonderful husband Nathan for 35years now and we are still very much in love with each other as the first day we met each other. We have 3 wonderful children and 5 gorgeous grandchildren so we have lots to be thankful for. Since joining Stampin' Up! in 2018 I've grown so much in confidence with myself and I even tackle technology, which for me is a huge step to have taken, but I'm getting there slowly.

Craftalong Tuesday - Sparkle of the season

Hello everyone, and welcome to another Craftalong tuesday, I cannot believe it's already another week and we are almost into October, where has September gone!
Well today I've got a quick christmas card for you all, using the 'Sparkle of the season' bundle, which is a lovely bundle that's not only for christmas but it has autumn in it and halloween so i think it's a great bundle to have in your stash as it could be used for many different themes, so let's get started...............

I've taken crumb cake cardstock for my card base, this time I've cut it at 10.5cm along the shortside of an A4 UKsize sheet and then I've scored it along the longside at 14.8cm, you will infact get 2 card bases from the one sheet.
The inside and front of card layers are 0.5cm smaller all around and these have been cut using Very vanilla cardstock. The inside of card layer is glued to the card, the front of card layer has been embossed on the top section uisng the 'Wintry 3D' embossing folders. The section of the card that isn't embossed I have wrapped a piece of the 'Fine art ribbon' around the edges and then attached to the reverse side using tear n tape. I then took a smaller length of ribon and tied it to the piece that is already attached to the card layer, tying it into a knot, this was then attached to the fornt of the card using glue.

Using mossy meadow and soft suede cardstock I have die cut 2 of the holly leaf wreaths out, using the centre waste piece of the wreath I then die cut 3 of the holly leaves.
Using a piece of the 'be dazzling' paper, which is one of the free items available in the saleabration with a qualifying spend (until 30th september), I die cut one of the smaller wreaths that has stars on it. I didn't actually glue these wreaths together, I just intertwined them together, attached the holly leaves where I wanted them with small amounts of glue and then after having die cut some of the tiny berries out of cherry cobbler cardstock, I attached them with glue using my take your pick tool, using the putty end to pick them up with.

Using crumb cake cardstock 3/4" x 5 1/4"
very vanilla cardstock 1/2" x 5"
I punched one end of each of these pieces using the 'Banners pick a punch', and then on the very vanilla piece and using cherry cobbler ink I stamped the sentiment from the stampset in the bundle, and then glued them together. I layed the banner where I wanted it to sit on my wreath and then turned it over and attached dimesionals onto it making sure that I also had the dimensionals sticking onto the wreath section, this keeps them attached to each other. The whole piece is then attached to the front of the card base above where the ribbon is sitting.
The last thing I did was to add some of the cherry cobbler 'Holiday rhinestones' onto the card front.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks card, I think it was a very simple card to make and I really loved making it ............

Until next time
Huge Crafty Hugs
