Butterfly Bouquet - Thank you card

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Kylie Bertucci Monthly International Blog Highlights. Can you believe we are already in to March and it's that time again. Well as some o you might be aware I was very fortunate to have come in the top ten last month, which was absolutely amazing for me so once againa huge thankyou to all of you who voted for me, let's see if I can do it again!!
Today I've made a card using the really beautiful new early release of the Butterfly Brilliance bundle. I love to see butterflies and just couldn't resist getting this bundle to use. So on with the card.............

Materials needed:

Basic white thick cardstock

1 piece 5-7/8" x 8-1/4" scored on longside at 4-1/8" - cardbase

1 piece 4" x 5-3/4" - inside card layer

1 piece 3-7/8" x 5-1/2" - front of card layer

2 pieces approx 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" - die cut solid butterfly base layer

Misty Moonlight cardstock

1 piece 1-15/16" x 5-5/8" - front of card layer

Scrap piece to punch out 3 x 1-1/2" circles

1 piece approx 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" - die cut detailed butterfly top layer

Just Jade cardstock

1 piece 1-15/16" x 5-5/8" - front of card layer

Scrap piece to punch out 3 x 1-1/2" circles

1 piece approx 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" - die cut detailed butterfly top layer

Butterfly Bijou 6" x 6" dsp

2 sheets with large butterflies - die cut 2 x misty moonlight/jade colour

1 sheet with small butterflies - fussy cut 3 out

Basic Black cardstock

1 piece approx 2" x 2" - stamp and heat emboss sentiment

Opal Rounds

5 x front of card

Basic pattern decorative masks

Dotty one for front of card pattern

Blending Brushes

Creating front of card pattern

Misty Moonlight classic stampin' pad

Just Jade classic stampin' pad

Card Instructions

Fold and burnish the cardbase and glue the inside white piece to the inside of card.

Using the dotty mask and 2 blending brushes apply both shades of ink, very gently over the front of card white layer. Glue the 2 different pieces of coloured cardstock to the reverse side of this layer, having a small border of colour showing around the edges, but different colours on each side. Glue this whole section to the front of the cardbase.

Punch out the circles and cut them up so that they rest against the sides of the white layer and glue into place flat.

Die cut all of the different layers of the butterflies and then with the dsp pieces and the coloured pieces give them a slight curl using a bone folder. Apply wink of stella to the dsp ones and then just applying glue to the backs of the butterfly bodies glue all of the layers together, the white layers will remain flat and then these can be glued onto the front of the cardbase.

Fussy cut some of the smaller butterflies out, give them a slight curl with the bone folder and attach these in place with glue just on the backs of the bodies.

Using versamark ink, white embossing powder and a heat tool, heat emboss the sentiment. Fussy cut around the wording using snips and then glue the wordings into place flat.

Attach the Opal rounds onto the front of the card, these fit perfectly onto the dots that have been inked onto the card.

That's the card finished, hope you liked it as much as I liked putting it together it was a quick card but quite lovely with the butterflies.

I'd love it if you liked my card if you could vote for me and hopefully I can reach the top ten again.

Take care everyone till next time and keep crafting

Huge Crafty Hugs

Natalie xx
