The love of leaves - Autumnal card

Hello again everyone, well thank goodness we have a bit of sunshine today. It feels very autumnal today the wind is blowing a bit, the sun is shining and there is a slight coolness in the air, which to me says that Autumn is well and truly here.
So with that in mind I thought I'd share a card I've made using the delightful ' The love of leaves' bundle from Stampin' Up!. I love all the seasons that we have here in the UK and the Autumn is when all the leaves change their colours and give such a beautiful look to the landsacape, so I thought I'd make a card with lots of leaves. These leaves when die cut out are absolutely beautiful, they have a lovely stitched edging to them which I instantly fell in love with. So let's begin and make the card............

Materials needed:

Very vanilla thick cardstock

1pc - 21cm x 14.8cm score on the longside at 10.5cm this is your cardbase

2pc - 10.1cm x 14.4cm these are for your front of card layer and the inside of card

1pc - 1.3cm x approx 9cm for the sentiment

Mint macaron cardstock

1pc -1.3cm x 10.1cm for the front of card strip

Scrap pieces for die cutting 3 leaves

Gilded Autumn speciality dsp

1pc - 2.5cm x 10.1 cm for the front of card strip

Crumbcake cardstock

Scrap pieces for die cutting 3 leaves

Cajun craze cardstock

Scrap pieces for die cutting 3 leaves

Metallic ribbon

1p - approx 17cm to wrap the edges around your layer on front of card

1pc - approx 12cm to tie onto the main ribbon with 2 acorns attached

1 thread of the ribbon to tie all the acorns and ribbon bits together with

Acorn trinkets

2 for the front of card

Card recipe:

1. Cut, score and burnish (where needed) all of your card pieces and your dsp piece ready for assembling your card.
2. Die cut all of your leaves out ready for assembling your card.
3. Stamp your sentiment onto your strip of very vanilla card using Cajun craze ink, now you can punch both ends of the strip using your banner punch.
4. The Very vanilla piece of card that is for layering on the front of the card can now be die cut with the die that is going to just cut stitched lines into the card (as in the picture below). This gives such a lovely effect on your card piece.

5. Using tear n tape adhesive attach your ribbon around the edges of your now stitched piece of card, by placing it over the ribbon ends on the reverse of your card piece, attach your piece of ribbon that now has your 2 acorns on it (use the thread to go through the holes on your acorns and then tie it around the ribbon pieces tying them all together).
6. With wet glue attach your front of card layer (with the acorns and ribbon attached to it) onto the front of your card base. And also glue the inside layer of card onto the inside.
7. Attach all of your card pieces and dsp onto the front of your card using wet glue and have them all flat.
8. Now using glue dots and mini dimensionals attach all of your leaves where you would like them to be on the front of your card, leaving one of the smaller leaves to go onto the strip of card near your sentiment, this gives the feel of falling leaves.

And that is the card finished. Hope you liked it, I loved making this card it gave me a lovely warm feeling inside as we start a whole new season together.
