Kylie Bertuccis International Blog Highlights - Fun fold card

Hello again everyone, it's that time again where I take part in a Kylie Bertuccis blog highlights, I love this time of each month being able to participate in such an amazing blog. The theme is to show thanks and appreciation again as it has been for all of the other past blogs, and I think it's something we should all do a bit more of in this world, especially with the way things are at the moment.
So I decided to make a fun fold card and basically just made it up as I went along, so I hope you like it and feel you can hop on and vote for me, I'd really appreciate it. Let's begin............

Materials needed:

Whisper white thick cardstock
1pc - 5" x 11 1/2" scored on the longside at 5", 7 1/2", 8 1/2" this is your card base
1pc - 4 7/8" x 2 7/8" this is for the front of your card layer
2pc - approx 7/16" x 2" for the sentiment pieces
scrap piece to stamp the bird and fussy cut out

Subtles 6" x 6" dsp
1pc - Highland heather 4 15/16" x 2 15/16" for the front of card
1pc - Highland heather 4 15/16" x 2 7/16" for the side of card
2pc - 1/4" x 4 7/8" for the front of card layer
1pc - Soft seafoam 4 15/16" x 4 15/16" for the inside of card
2pc - 1/4" x 4 7/8" for the front and the side of card

Soft seafoam cardstock
scrap pieces for die cutting the birdhouse and 2 ferns

Highland heather cardstock
scrap pieces for die cutting birdhouse and ferns

Pear pizzazz cardstock
scrap piece for die cutting ferns

Whisper white ribbon
Approx 12" for wrapping round card front layer and tying a knot at the front
Approx 6" for tying a bow

Rhinestone basic jewels

3 - to be coloured with stampin blend for front of card

Card recipe:

1. Cut, score and fold your card base (so that it looks like the picture below).
Once all of your papers and the front layer are in place you can if you like use dimensionals to glue shut the middle panel from the back and the front of it, I did as it stopped the card from flapping about, but you don't necessarily have to, the choice is yours!

This picture shows you the front and side of card.

2. Cut all of your pieces of dsp. Glue into place the side piece, the front piece and the inside piece. You can glue your strip of soft seafoam to the side of your card try to centralize it when the card is folded flat as this will be more pleasing to the eye.
3. Cut your piece of whisper white cardstock that is for the front layer and then glue your 3 other strip pieces if dsp into place ( I start 1/4" from the side and then left a really small gap in between each strip). Leave this to dry before you die cut the circle out ( I used the die that measuresa approx 2 1/8" across).
4. Wrap your 12" piece of ribbon around this layer now tying a knot at the front. Tie a bow with the other piece of ribbon and then glue it on top of the knotted piece. This piece is now glued into place on the front of your card (over the highland heather dsp) using dimensionals.
5. Die cut all of your elements swapping the inner colour pieces over for the birdhouses and keeping them in by using some tear n tape on the reverse (do not take the backing off).
6. Glue the soft seafoam house flat into place and the highland heather one into place using dimensionals. Now glue your fern pieces into place behind the houses using wet glue.
7. Using the basic gray stamp pad stamp out your bird from the long branch of birds and just cut out the one you need to use. Colour it in using your stampin blends and then glue into place using a dimensional.
8. Colour 3 of your rhinestone jewels using the dark highland heather stampin blend and then glue them into place.
9. Stamp your sentiment only inking the words you need for each row (this is easy to acheive if you use the stampin' write marker pens) just make sure that you clean the stamp in between each stamping.

........ and that's the card finished.

Please do hop on and vote for me if you liked the card I'd really appreciate it, and then you'll have 4 more votes to use for the other cards and projects that have been made, so hop on the link below and have a look at all of the wonderful projects you'll be amazed and you will get so much inspiration from all of the other very talented crafters.
