The Stamping Cove Challenge - Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone and welcome to another Stamping Cove challenge, which you can find over on Emma Goddard's face book page, over on The Stamping Cove. This time the theme was a sketch challenge.

I love a sketch challenge, everyone always comes up with something different, which gives you so much inspiration for using all of your stamps and dies, I think it's such a fun way to create!
So let's see how I created this card to share with you.....

1. Cut yourself a piece of Bermuda bay card A4 length x 10.5cm scored on longside at 14.8cm for the card base. Cut 2 pieces of the Coastal Cabana card 10.2cm x 14.5cm attach one flat to the inside and the other one to the front of the card.
2. Cut a white piece 9.7cm x 14cm and die cut the 3rd largest circle from the Layering circle dies out. Stamp the circle using the long image from the stampset using different strengths of Bermuda Bay as you do so, this gives you the graduated look. Stamp the seagulls in full strength ink. Wrap linen thread around the side of the circle apperture and attach on the reverse side using tear 'n tape then attach this layer to the front of the card using dimensionals. Attach the stamped circle through the apperture hole flat, using glue, onto the coastal cabana layer.
3. Die cut a smaller circle out from bermuda bay card and emboss using the bark 3D embossing folder. Attach this flat to the card front with it hanging over the edge of the apperture slightly.
4. Die cut another white circle using the 3rd largest circle die and ink the bottom section using the long image and bermuda bay ink again, also stamp the reflection image too. Attach to the front of the card using dimensionals.
5. Stamp the boat images using bermuda bay ink and punch out. Punch out another set using bermuda bay card. Attach the bermuda bay mast using cut up dimensionals making sure it matches up with the reflection, then attach the larger sail using glue and the smaller using dimensionals.
6. Using the banner punch and a piece of white card 1/2" x approx 8cm punch one end. Stamp the word onto the banner using the sentiment from the Let's set sail stampset and bermuda bay ink, inking up only the word needed, and then on a seperate piece of white card stamp the other word, cut this out using your snips.
7. Wrap the linen thread around the end of the stamped banner, attaching it to the reverse side using tear 'n tape. Give the banner a slight curve and then attach to the card front using glue on one end and a dimensional on the thread end, making sure you tuck it under the circle. Having slightly curved the AWAITS! word attach onto the circle using glue.
8. Finish the card off by attaching some of the polished dots.

This was such a fun card to make and I loved using the punch with the stamps. Hope you enjoyed seeing what I created. Until the next Stamping Cove Challenge take care and happy crafting.

Huge Crafty hugs
