Craftalong Tuesday - Front pop out card

Hello everyone and welcome to my first Craftalong tuesday for 2022, I'm so glad to be back crafting with you all after having a lovely christmas break, it has I must be honest taken me a while to get back into the swing of things, but hopefully I'm back on track. I hope you all had a wonderful christmas and you're all ready to craftalong with me again.

Today I have a lovely card that I'm calling a front pop out card, I'm sure it has a different name but this is what I've decided to call mine 😊. So let's begin crafting........
For the main card base back section you will need a piece of cardstock that measures 10.5cm x 29.7cm (I've used garden green for mine) and this is going to be scored at 14.8cm, 17.8, 23.8 and 26.8cm these are then folded and burnished to give you nice crisp folds.

Fold all of the score lines the same way.

Place glue onto the end panel, and having the piece folde over like in the diagram above fold it in on itself and attach to the back section, this gives you a box like piece once attached.

All of the decorative pieces that are layered onto the card are attached, before you adhere the front pop piece into place.

Basic White cardstock :

 10.2cm x 8.5cm

 10.2cm x 5.7cm - 2pc

 10.2cm x 2.7cm - 2pc

Green paper from the Heart & Home 12" x 12" dsp):

 10cm x 8.3cm

 10cm x 5.5cm - 2pc

10cm x 2.5cm - 2pc

7.5cm x 2.5cm  (for the 7.7cm x 2.7cm garden green piece of card)

Garden green cardstock:

Front pop out section - 8cm x 14.5cm scored on longside at 10.5cm and 13.5cm

Pop out section layer - 7.7cm x 10.2cm

Top of front pop out section - 7.7cm x 2.7cm

Embossed vellum layer:

 7cm x 9.5cm

Adhere all of the layers for the back section together and then attach to the back section, this is done before we attach the front pop out piece into place!

Cut fold and burnish the front pop out piece and then place glue onto the small tab end like below.

This piece is now attached to the main card base back piece, attaching the large end to the box piece of the card base and then attaching the glued tab section to the flat back of the card.

Remember your main card base piece will already have the papers attached in place.

Only apply glue where needed or the card will be glued shut!

Place glue on the tab, tuck under flat and attach to the flat section of the card base.

Use your bone folder to rub over the tab to make sure it is glued down well.

This is what you should have when finished, remember yours will already have the papers attached, mine hasn't.

Now after dry embossing the vellum using the beautiful new Hive 3D embossing folder (I just love how it really looks like honeycomb using the vellum) attach this using glue dots to the green cardstock pop out layer piece. The flowers have all been fussy cut out from the papers and a few of them have been die cut out, using garden green cardstock, then I assembled them altogether into a bouquet, gluing them as I layered them up, only apply glue to small sections as you don't want the bouquet to look completely flat. I attached a small section of one of the doilies onto the vellum using glue dots and then the finished bouquet was attached using dimensionals. I tied a double bow using a length of the crumb cake twine and attached this to the flowers using a glue dot. This whole section can now be attached to the front of the pop out, gluing it flat. One of the cute Bumblebee trinkets is attached to the vellum using a glue dot and the sentiment is stamped using Cinnamon Cider ink (I used one of the very many sentiments within the Sale a-bration Special moment stampset which is free with a £90 order during sale a-bration) this was then attached with glue.

I love how this looked when finished, I hope you enjoyed making this with me and join me next week for another Craftalong tuesday, until then take care.
Huge Crafty Hugs
