Craftalong Tuesday - Bright Baubles

Hello, hello it's tuesday again!!!! and time for another craftalong tuesday with me. Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and looking forward to crafting along.
This week I thought I'd use the beautiful 'Bright Baubles' bundle. There are 4 large baubles within this die set that I think make a really lovely topper for any christmas card. I shall be having a play with these delightful dies so keep an eye on my blog for future posts!

I've used an 8" x 8" square piece of thick basic white cardstock for my card base, this is just scored in half at 4", and then the inside layer has been made using the leftover piece from an A4 sheet, which then left a small piece which I used for my sentiment.

For the front of my card I've cut myself a piece that measured 5 13/16" x 3 13/16" which i have then run through the die cut machine using the 'Star crossed' embossing folder.
Once embossed I then cut the piece in half using the line, which is through the middle of the two patterns, to cut in a straight line
These two pieces were then glued flat to the front of my card base one in each opposite corner leaving a small even gap around the edges.

I cut myself a strip of the 'Whimsy and wonder' dsp (which unfortunately is currently not available to order, but hopefully will be back for us to all order very soon😊) which measured 3/4" x approx 8 1/2" this is glued flat down the middle of the two embossed pieces, after the angles that were needed had been cut (I did this using a rule and lining it up at the edges of the embossed pieces, marking with a pencil and cutting).

I cut myself one of the whole baubles in white and one of the detailed ones in the brushed metallic cardstock, I also cut myself one of the topper bows out too.
I glued the detailed bauble to the white one by applying tiny bits of glue in the places that weren't so delicate, and then glued this to the front of the card (I only applied glue down the middle), the bow was attached to the top with a glue dot.

The pine needles I snipped off of the detailed pine needles, having die cut it out with evening evergreen cardstock, these were attached to the top of my bauble using glue dots.

The sentiments were stamped using evening evergreen ink, cut around with my snips and then glued flat to evening evergreen cardstock and cut so it just left a small border all the way around the edges. These were then attached to the card front using dimensionals. Three of the brushed metallic dots were attached and the card is done!

Hope you enjyed todays project and find time to come and see the other cards I shall be sharing, very soon, using the other baubles.

Until next time
Huge Crafty Hugs
