Nature's Harvest Thankyou card

 

Hello everyone, and welcome to another Craftalong Tuesday, where today I have a delightful card for you all, using one of the many delightful new products from the new Stampin' Up! mini catalogue, that has now gone live to customers, making them now available to purchase yayyyy!!!.

The new bundle that I'm using is called 'Nature's Harvest' and you can find it on page 56 in the mini catalogue. I've made a very simple, but really pleasing to look at, thankyou card, but it could of course be any occasion card. So let's get started ............

Materials needed:

Basic white thick cardstock

1pc - 10.5cm x A4 length (UK) scored on longside at 14.8cm for cardbase

Basic white cardstock

1pc - 9.7cm x 14cm for front of card embossed layer

Scrap piece for die cutting sentiment label out

Old olive cardstock

1pc - 10.2cm x 14.5cm for front of card layer

3pc - approx 4cm x 14.5cm for die cutting of 3 stems

Soft suede, Bumblebee and So saffron cardstock

1pc of each - approx 4cm x 6.5cm for die cutting just the top section of stems

Brushed metallic dots - page 55 mini catalogue 156506

Timeworn type 3D embossing folder - page 55 mini catalogue 156505

Nature's Harvest bundle - page 56 mini catalogue 156813

Instructions:

1. Fold and burnish the cardbase.

2. Emboss the white layer of cardstock using the embossing folder and then using the image from the stampset, that looks like a splodge, and old olive ink stamp down the edge of the embossed layer gradually getting small and smaller as you reach the top, this gives a really lovely distressed look to the edge.

3. Adhere this layer onto the old olive layer using glue and then adhere to the cardbase using dimensionals.

4. Die cut all of the stem elements and then glue the different coloured flower sections on top of the old olive ones.

5. Arrange the flowers into a small bouquet and then place a glue dot on the reverse of the stems and attach the end of the twine to the dot, then proceed to wrap the twine around the stems, then use another glue dot to attach the other end securely into place. This makes the flowers look like they're in a neatly tied bouquet.

6. Apply glue to the reverse of the stems and flowers, that are towards the back of the bouquet and attach this to the card front. The flowers that are in the front of the bouquet might need to be attached using dimensionals so they don't flop forward.

7. die cut the label and then stamp the sentiment using old olive ink again and attach this to the bouquet using dimensionals.

8. Adhere 3 of the metallic dots onto the card front and thats the card finished, quick, simple but very pleasing when finished.
