Hi everyone,
Thought I'd come on quickly and share with you all another half pinwheel card. I'm loving making these style cards, they're so easy to make and such fun to create.......... so let's get started....
You will need 2 pieces of the pale papaya cardstock and these will both measure 5 7/8" for the heighta and then 7 1/16" for one and 3 1/16" for the other. the larger piece you score at 1", 2", 3", and 4". These score lines need to be folded and burnished using a bone folder and then you will glue the very end section onto the rest of the unfolded section of the card stock forming a cube at one end. Take the other piece of card stock you have in the pale papaya and glue this onto the otherside of the cube so that when standing the card looks like below, from above.
Now you will need to cut yourself a piece of dsp and a piece of basic white cardstock, both the same measurements - 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" and then cut them both the same as one is for the front of card (dsp) and the other for the back (white card which needs to be stamped on before you cut it).
Cut 2 15/16", then cut 7/8" and you will be left with a piece that measures 1 7/8", by doing it like this the pattern of the paper and the stamped images all flow together when they're glued into place on the front and back of card base.
All that remains to do now is to die cut the 2 stitched scallop edged rectangles, using pear pizzazz for the largest and basic white for the smaller one. The evening evergreen piece is cut to 2 5/8" x 3 7/8" and this fits perfectly in between the other two. The white is glued flat to the evergreen piece and then attached to the pear pizzazz piece and then this is all glued to the front of the card flat, I had 2 of the scallops hanging over the edge this was pretty centralized on the card and it also makes it easy t know where you need to put the glue!
Now I die cut myself one of the lovely leaf stems in evening evergreen, gave the leaves a slight curl with the bone folder and attached to the front of the card using wet glue. The sentiment I actually stamped with versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder and attached to the card front flat. I then finished the card off with 3 of the gilded gems and voila another great half pinwheel card, this time using these absolutely beautiful Expressions In Ink speciality papers, which have gold foiling in them...........absolutely gorgeous!
Hope you enjoyed todays project it's a very quick and easy card, but it's made beautiful with these stunning papers.
I forgot to say these cards do fold down flat and fit into one of the standard Stampin' Up! envelopes.
Take care till next time
