Desk top calendar - using free Sale-a-bration papers

Hello again and welcome to another tuesday craft along. Today I thought we could do something a little bit different, actually I was wanting to do these a week ago but the little calendar tabs took a little bit longer to come than I had anticipated. So these calendar tabs are very easy to come by on amazon and ebay unfortunately not so easy though in the shops, as many shops aren't actually open at present, but hopefully it won't be too much longer.

So it's a very easy project to make and I think it would make a nice little gift to send to someone in the post, that way they can think of you every day they look at it!!

Materials needed:

Basic white thick cardstock

1pc - 5" x 10" score longside at 5" - calendar base main piece

1pc - 2 1/2" x 5" for the inner stand section of calendar base

1pc - 3 15/16" x 3 15/16" for matting underneath seaside spray layer

1pc - 2" x 3 1/2" - punched with banner punch

Night of navy cardstock

1pc - 4 7/8" x 4 7/8" - first matting layer

Scrap pieces to die cut 1 x bow and 1 x flower centre

Seaside spray cardstock

1pc - 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" - corners punched with trio punch for matting on top of night of navy layer

Scrap piece to die cut 1 x bow

Rococo rose cardstock

Scrap piece to die cut 2 x large flower and 4 x smaller flower

Night of navy ribbon

1pc - approx 6" to wrap around the edge of the card layers

Paper blooms DSP - free sale a bration item

1pc - 2" x 3 1/4" - punched with banner punch

Opal rounds

3 for flower centres

1 x Calendar tab

Recipe:

1. Cut, score and fold the calender base piece.

2. Cut and score the inner stand for the calendar base, fold it so that it resembles a w shape, the 2 smaller outer folds you need to place glue on and then attach it to the inside bottom of the calendar base.

This is how it will look once you've glued it into place. Leave this to one side and now we can build the front panel of the calendar.

3. Cut all of your different layers and die cut all of the different flower pieces that are needed.

4. On the seaside spray piece you will punch all 4 corners with the trio punch and then attach the white layer of card onto the reverse so that it shows through all of the circles that have been punched out. This will give your card section a bit of depth and it adds a small speck of white to the front of it.

5. Glue this seaside spray piece flat to the navy section and then using adhesive tape attach the ribbon around the sides, then add glue all over and attach to the calendar base.

6. Punch the one end of both the white and dsp (which is free item during sale a bration with a £45+ order) pieces and then glue them to each other putting glue just at the top this enables you to give the tails a curl. Glue this to the calendar now. Place a piece of the adhesive foam onto to the reverse side of the calendar tab and attach to the calendar base.

7. Glue all of the flowers together as needed and then place them on the front of the calendar base.

8. Glue the two bows together and then using glue dots, glue them onto the ribbon.

That's the calendar complete hope you liked it and you give it a go and maybe gift it to someone to let them know you're thinking of them everyday.
