Card swaps from Annual catalogue 2021-2022

My cards I sent to the lovely ladies....

Good afternoon all, as promised from the blog post 22nd May I have all of the beautiful card swaps that I received in the week, from all of the fellow demonstrators that took part in an annual catalogue card swap. I was so excited to receive all of the swaps and share them with you all. Hope this gives you all a lot of inspiration with some of the new amazing products that Stampin' Up! have in the new catalogue.................

Nadine Stopp from Germany
This one was made using the beautiful 'Blossom in Bloom' bundle which can be found on page 20 of the catalogue. I love the way Nadine has used the soft colour of fresh freesia for the flowers and just added a few of the die cut flowers on top to give it a bit of depth such a pretty birthday card.

Marie Messum from UK
This one was made using the really cute 'Party Puffins' stampset which can be found on page 67 of the catalogue, aren't they just adorable. Love the burst of colour on the front of
the card using Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Bumble Bee, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron cardstock, and then stamping on the inside of the card with a different pufiin it's such a cute card.

Karen Henderson from UK
Wow this is a very pretty card using the 'Hand-penned Petals' bundle page 105 and the 'Scalloped Contours' dies page 158. Such a pretty card using all of the new in colours too. Karen has stamped here beautiful die cut flowers for the front of her card using first generation ink and then it looks to me like she has used the 2nd generation of ink for the inside of the card - not wasting any ink, very clever love it.

Sandie Brain from UK
I love the silhouette effect that Sandie has created using the lovely 'Quiet meadow' dies from page 110 both on her card and the envelope front, such a lovely idea. The paper that she has used is from the 'Hand-Penned' ds from page 131. Very pretty card.

Cheryl Taylor from UK
Cheryl has used the 'Flowers of friendship' stampset from page 78 for her card and all of the pretty new In-colors of the 'Stampin' blends' pens from page 123 creating a very pretty thankyou card with a lovely stamped image on the envelope and a sentiment on the inside too.

Louise Daniels from UK
Louise has made a lovely card that has the side of it cut down and then a square panel added to the front. I love the way that the stamping she has done matches up from the front to the inside absolutely brilliant idea. She has used 'Hand-Penned' stampset page 105, and for the corner of the square front panel she has used the 'Detailed trio' punch page 150. In color shimmer vellum on page 135 is used on the square panel and the sentiment on the front of the card comes from the very clever 'Days to remember' stampset page 18.

Helen Speakman from UK
Helen has created this beautiful card using the 'Scalloped Contour' dies page 158, 'Hand-Penned' dsp page 131, 'Brilliant wings' dies page 158 and the 'Hand-Penned' stampset for the sentiment on the front of the card. I lve the way that Helen has decorated the inside of her card makes it a very elegant card for giving, The butterfly on the front of her card is just exquisite I do love to see a butterfly on a card.

Sandra Hagenlocher from Germany
Sandra has made this very elegant card using just 2 colours Pale Papaya and Soft Succulents and isn't it pretty?  Sandra has used the 'Color and Contour' bundle from page 98 for all of her stamping and die cutting and I love how she has stamped the tiny flowerbud on the corner of the inside of the card.

Claire Kruse from UK
Claire has made this great thankyou card using Mossy Meadow cardstock and a piece of the 'Beauty of the earth' dsp page 130 she has also used 'Beauty of frienship'  stampset to do her stamping on the front of the card, the inside and also on the front of her envelope. I think this is a great card for a male birthday as well as her great thankyou card.

Suzanne Downes from UK
Love this cute notecard that Suzanne has made. She has used the 'Hand-Penned Petals' stampset page 105 for the front of her card using black ink and then used the Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulents ink refills page 123  to paint the insides of the flower and leaves with, very clever effect this has given to the card. The inside of the card has also been stamped just using the black ink this time looks really lovely when you open the card up, the sentiment for the inside comes form the 'Dragonfly garden' stampset on page 23 and the actual focal point piece on the front of the card is punched out usinf the 'Rectangular postage stamp' punch form page 149.

Joyce Drake from UK
Love the colours Joyce has used for her card Pale Papya and Evening Evergreen, don't they look beautiful together. She has used the'Flowers of frienship' stampset page 78 and the 'Stitched So Sweetly' dies on page 166 to create her card front and the inside of the card too. The dsp she has used is from the 2021-2023 In-Colors dsp on page 134 think the papers finish this very pretty elegant card off just perfectly.

Tracy Hill from UK
Tracy has used the 'Color and Contour' bundle page 98 along with the 'Rectangle Stitched' dies page 165 to create this rather beautiful card. She has incorporated all of the new In-colors onto her card and softly stamped the inside of her card and the envelope too. I think it is a really pretty card.

Kathrin Kust from Germany
For the last card in this most inspirational collection of cards I have for you Kathrin has made this using the 'Quiet Meadow' bundle form page 110 to die cut the 'Shimmer vellum' page 135 fern out of and for the inside of the card she has used 'Painted Poppies' page 24 the 'Scallop contour' dies from page 158 have been used for the front of the card layered over a piece of the 'Vellum cardstock' page 136. Love the way she has decorated the inside of her card finishes it off perfectly.

Bit of a long blogpost hope you've enjoyed looking at all of these wonderful cards, as much as I enjoyed receiving them all. Hopefully this has given you all lots of inspiration to get you crafting.

SUOC#276 - Favourite Stampset Current/retired

Omgoodness it's time for the SUOC#276  and this time it was to use your favourite stampset whether it is current or retired, and I'm so pleased to say that one of my favourites has actually carried over to the new catalogue YAYYYY this makes me so happy. So it had to be done and I had to use it and use some of the new colours and dsp.
I've used a normal size card base but I've cut it so that it opens from the side instead of the bottom, just means you cut the short side of an A4 sheet of card and score on the long side instead of the other way round!
I've used Pale Papaya for the card base and the inside of card layer and then I've used a piece White cardstock and a smaller piece of the beautiful Hand Penned dsp for the front of card layers.
The lovely die cut rectangle was cut out using the Nature's thoughts dies along with everything else that has been stamped and die cut.
For the Evening Evergreen pieces under the corners of the rectangle I've cut 1" square pieces (2) and then cut them both into triangles before attaching to the reverse side of it using glue. To give this section more depth but not adding dimensionals I've cut a second rectangle out and then attached it to the reverse side of the first one, sandwiching the green corners in between them both and then glued this flat to the card front.
The ferns have been stamped using Soft Succculents ink in first and second generation, this can be done before the rectangle is glued to the card front, but to be honest I just did it when it was attached. The butterfly is stamped using Pale Papapay ink straight onto the rectangel using second generation ink and then first generation for the one tha is die cut out and attached over the other one using glue.

It gives a very soft shadow look to the butterfly.

The feathers I stamped in second generation Garden Green ink, die cut out. The flower is Pool Party ink first generation stamping, this is the only thing I attached to the card front usinga dimensional, and then I just tucked the feathers underneath after giving thema curve using the Bone Folder.
The sentiment is stamped using Evening Evergreen and then using the Snips I've cut them out so they are all individual words, curved two of them with the Bone Folder and glued them all into place.
All that was left for me to do then was to add a few of the really beautiful In Color jewels and the card was finished.

I loved how this card finished up, but then this is one of my absolute favourite stampsets and as I've already said I'm so happy it carried over into the new catalogue!

Hope you enjoyed my card for today and would love if you popped over and took a look at all of the wonderful creations from the other design team members over on SUOC#276
they always have such amazing creations for us all to get some inspiration from, and as always I'd love if you joined in with the challenge yourselves and shared what you create using your favourite stampset.

Sweet as a Peach - To a sweet friend card

Hi everyone and welcome to another Craftalong Tuesday!
Over the last few days I've been having so much fun playing with the beautiful 'Sweet as a Peach' bundle and the very pretty dsp that goes with it, I'm really loving the softness of this set, the colours are exquisite and the patterns on the papers are just so great to create with, I think you're going to love them as much as I do!

The card I've created for todays project also incorporates the 'Basic Borders' dies which are a great set of dies to have in your stash, and the '3D Macrame' embossing folder. So let's get started with the card..................

Materials needed:

Basic white thick cardstock
1 piece 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" scored on the longside at 4 1/8" - cardbase
Scrap pieces for stamping and die cutting  3 x peaches/leaves and 1 x sentiment
1 piece 2 3/8" x 3 7/8" for the inside of card stamped layer

Pale Papaya cardstock
1 piece 2 1/4" x 5 7/8" for the front of card embossed layer

Pear Pizzazz cardstock
1 piece approx 1" x 5 7/8" for the front of card die cut layer

Calypso Coral cardstock
Small scrap piece for the sentiment layer

You're a Peach dsp
1 piece approx 2 7/8" x 5 7/8" for front of card die cut layer
1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside of card layer

Pale Papaya ribbon
2 pieces approx 3" for the front of card - these are folded in half

2021-2023 In color jewels
3 for front of card

Card Instructions

1. Fold and burnish the cardbase.

2. Glue the inside dsp layer, and the embossed front of card layer on to the card base.

3. Using the scallop edged border die cut one of the edges on both of the card and dsp piece for the front of the card layers. Glue them both together leaving a small piece of the cardstock showing at the bottom.

4. Glue the embossed front of card piece to the bottom of the card base.

5. Glue the dsp/cardstock section onto the top section of the front of card,  but leave the die cut edges unglued as this makes it look like it's got more body to it.

6. Stamp the peach images onto the scrap card using Pale Papaya ink and then use Calypso Coral ink 2nd generation over the top, and then die cut them out.

7. Stamp the leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink and die cut these out too.

8. Glue the leaves to the reverse side of the peaches and attach to the front of the card using dimensionals. Tuck the ribbon pieces folded in half, under the peaches and attach using glue dots.

9. Stamp the sentiment using Calypso Coral ink and die cut this and the Calypso Coral card piece out using the small banner die in the bundle. Cut the Calypso Coral one in half and then glue these pieces to the reverse side of the sentiment giving a small border showing along both of the long edges.

10. Attach the sentiment to the card front using dimensionals and add 3 jewels.

11. Stamp the inside layer using the flower images, Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves and stem image 1st generation ink and Calypso Coral ink for the flowers 2nd generation ink. For the flower centres use 1st generation ink.

12. Glue the inside of card layer in to place and the card is finished.

Hope you enjoyed todays project, I loved the way the border die gives the card the effect of being the front of a clutch bag or purse and the Macrame 3D EF really gives a lovely pattern to finish the card off. Thankyou so much for popping on and having a look at my blog I really do appreciate it.
Take care until next time
